4 Reasons to Attend Informatica World 2016

Posted by Datasource on May 5, 2016 11:48:57 AM

Last year, I had the privilege of running social media for Informatica World, as well as the joy of singing for hours at an impromptu closing night dance party.

This year, I’m honored to serve as a main stage emcee. To prepare, I’m watching extra episodes of the Tonight Show, The Voice and American Idol, to borrow tricks of the trade from Jimmy Fallon, Carson Daly and Ryan Seacrest. You never know, I may just smash an egg on my forehead!

Obviously, I’m looking forward to attending. I get to see team members from around the globe, to sing with friends and to have a blast as a host. But those are MY reasons. What we must discuss is this:

"Why should YOU go to Informatica 2016?"

With that in mind, here are four key reasons you will want to be at Informatica World 2016.

Informative Keynotes

As Dr. Jerry Held recently wrote, there has been a “Sea Change” in the Data Market. During the Informatica World keynotes, our CEO, CPO and CMO will expound on these data market inflection points, sharing how they impact your professional life and our collective global future.

Our executives will share how rapid innovation uniquely positions Informatica to solve these new strategic challenges, in order to become the “heart surgeon” of the data industry. In addition, we are delighted to welcome Adam Savage, Co-host of the Discovery Channel’s television series MythBusters and Unchained Reaction, to share his insights in a special keynote of his own.

Expert Instruction

The analysts, scientists and executives who share their insights at Informatica World are among the most knowledgeable in the world. Every session is led by skilled innovators who are eager to address crucial use cases and industry pain points. You’ll hear from Customers, Executives, IT Directors, Data Scientists and Enterprise Architects.

Peer-to-Peer Connections

At Informatica World, there are endless opportunities to network and interact with domain experts from around the globe. You can meet people face to face, or identify those you’d like to meet by scrolling through the #INFA16 tag on Twitter. By making these connections, digitally and in person, you can get real world answers to challenges shared by peer companies.

Your peers may be wrestling the same issues you face in your work. You’ll have chances to connect at interactive roundtables, where small groups sit with a subject matter expert to discuss key issues. You’ll have the opportunity to study real-world best practices and to ask questions about your specific challenges.

Professional Growth

Informatica World moves beyond your daily work responsibilities into preparing you for your professions future. The event features dozens of breakouts across four distinct tracks. In addition, Informatica World features a number of 2-hour Deep Dive Labs. These are instructor-led seminars on new solutions, in a hands-on, computer simulated product environment. There is no limit to what you can learn, including:

  • How early adopters use digital transformation to create business advantage
  • How experts use cloud integration to transform their business
  • How leading organizations master their digital transformation with Master Data Management
  • How to fast-track Big Data project deployment to turn petabytes of data into profits
