Tell us about your experience with Datasource Consulting (DSC), including types of projects and positions held:

Most of my experience with DSC has been in a long-term Enterprise Data Warehouse project for a leading commodity cheese manufacturer, where I started as a Business Analyst and shifted to the Data Analyst role. It was exciting to dive deep into DW design and to build some solid skillsets in data profiling, source-to-target mapping, and data validation. It was also very interesting to observe the dynamic of the project team and relationship with the client through a two-year period.

Describe life at Datasource with three unique words.

Brilliant. People. Everywhere.

Tell us what you like most about working at DSC.

I like the feeling of a "strong shoulder" to lean on, and the support I receive from my colleagues. I also like the fact that people are recognized as individuals, not just links in a chain. This is the culture which brought me into the company two years ago, and that is what I hope to see in the years to come.

What challenges you the most and what motivates you the most at DSC?

I am still learning how to fill the shoes of a "trusted advisor". I know how to get things done, and sometimes it's not easy to let go of the reins. While on some occasions it's a source of frustration, it's also a great opportunity to try on an unusual pair of shoes.

What is on your bucket list?

One day I would like to learn how to play polo.

What are your proudest accomplishments?

Walking five steps up the stairs the day after running the Great Wall of China Marathon a few years ago.

Besides that, I am a proud mother of three beautiful, smart, and kind girls.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

I like reading historical novels, watching stupid comedies, drinking good wine, and travelling all over the world.

What is your hidden talent?

I sing in the car and in the shower. I think I am very good at it! Still haven't received any positive feedback from anyone though. Strange...

Do you have any phobias?

A phobia about looking for phobias in myself.

Tell us why you fell in love with data.

Data is the new bacon! Just like bacon, data brings harmony, happiness, and joy in this world if used wisely.
