This is the next interview in a new series in which we ask our unique and diverse Datasource Consulting staff to share a bit about themselves, both professionally and personally. We're amazed and inspired at their talents, hobbies, and aspirations, and we hope you are, too!
Years with Datasource: 4.5
Current Home City: Denver, CO
Tell us about your experience with Datasource Consulting (DSC), including types of projects and positions held:
I started with Datasource in December 2014 as a Senior Data Integration consultant. My first project was with a leading healthcare company in Colorado, where I was part of a team helping to build out an enterprise data warehouse for their claims and membership data. I also lead a project to receive, modify, and transmit XML files for a sporting goods company to facilitate their entry into e-commerce. Additionally, I assisted with a migration from Redshift to Snowflake for a customer communication platform provider. Most recently, I worked with a national entertainment organization to modernize their environment by moving some of their ETL to the cloud and to gather WiFi data and add it to their customer model. I also manage a small team of consultants and contribute internally to the Data Integration competency.
Describe life at Datasource with three unique words.

What challenges you the most and what motivates you the most at Datasource?
I'm happiest and most fulfilled when I'm constantly learning new things. Working with new clients and ever-changing technologies keeps me on my toes and makes the work day fun!
What is on your bucket list?I would love to try home brewing beer. I love to try different craft brews and am intrigued with the process.
What are you proudest accomplishments?
Completing my BS degree while working full-time and raising a small child. Looking back, I don’t know how I did it, but I know that time management skills were a must!
What are your hobbies outside of work?
I love to read – mostly science fiction or horror stories. I also love watching hockey (go Colorado Avalanche!!!).
What is your hidden talent?
Ha-ha, on a more serious note, I would say creating connections with people.
What phobias do you have?
Tell us why you fell in love with data.
My first true love was math. I love solving problems and seeing everything balance on both sides of the equation. That lead to programming – I like to say it had me from “Hello World”. Data is just an extension of those concepts. When used correctly, data can bring balance and clarity to the world.
