Using the same measure for two or more different dimensions may seem redundant, but it can be visually powerful and may even convey your message better than including more information. For example, by putting profit on an axis and displaying it as a color, one can highlight the low and high profit sectors. Sometimes trying to put too much information on one chart makes it more complicated to understand than presenting two simple views.
